Kat Delat was born in a small town near the sea in Venezuela. While growing up, she constantly moved due to her parents, who were adventurous artists. This allowed her to have a childhood full of contact with art and nature. Since she was little, she always reflected her curiosity and creativity in all areas of her life. Kat Delat always experimented with new crafting/handmade hobbies and skills, often turning them into small businesses, which allowed her to meet full-time artists and eventually want to become a full-time artist herself. For this reason, in 2021, she decided to enroll in the Mastery Program at the Milan Art Institute, thus taking a big step in her artistic career.
Her artistic process is usually loose and very free, starting from an idea that awakens her curiosity and inspires her to express herself. She looks for resources, colors, and the idea starts to take shape along the way. This is why her art will always have a piece of her within it.
“Just like nature, my soul can go from one extreme to another; “This allows me to create without limitations. Art frees me.”
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, her studio is in the comfort of her home surrounded by trees and flowers. She continues to explore new techniques for upcoming exhibitions and shows, also shaping future projects that are being developed, such as workshops and new product ideas.
